The origin of the Cantoni family is from the North of Italy in the Padan valley, in the outskirt of Milano. The Cantoni family is a farm family which roots go back to the 17th Century.
Giuseppe was the first in the 1960th to leave agriculture and go working in the industry, keeping anyway a touch in the family farm.
On the brink to be retired he bought Fattoria Fibbiano and all the family moved to Tuscany where, with the two sons Matteo and Nicola, they started to renovate an old farm that was left neglected for long time.

Fattoria Fibbiano

The actual Fibbiano farmhouse was built in 1707 and is located in the council of Terricciola in Tuscany on the Pisa Hills between Pisa and Volterra.

The area is rich of history: was inhabited from the Etrurian people that left their rich tombs of which few are still existing on the hill where the farm layout, the Romans already reconnaise the top quality of the wine and olive oil from this area and in the middle age was theathre of fierce war between the towns of Pisa and Florence. Surrounded by an exuberant nature, the Farm is hidding a fascinate mystery: tradition say that a old spring called “of wemen”, still visible, possess extraordinary health curing power.

Today well known as winery, and "Agriturism" Fattoria Fibbiano produce unique grapes that the knowledgeable and careful attention of the oenologist/wine maker transform in to the different types of wines suitable to any occasion. Merit also of the ideal position of the vineyard an the top of the hill and of the soil characteristics a mix of clay and marine shells. More over the fattoria is pursuing a programme of reducing fertilizer and chemicals in order to produce and offer a more genuine and healthly product.
